Victoria, on the other hand proudly displays its British charm visible in the historic architecture, colorful gardens and tea rooms. And finally, Sooke with some of South Vancouver Island’s best wilderness areas provides the perfect setting for hiking, kayaking, surfing and discovering amazing wildlife. Optional Activities & Excursions Offered on Your Trip.

Have it your way and personalize your trip by adding fun, optional activities. These activities are not included in your land package price to allow free time for those who want to explore on their own. Rates have been specially negotiated with the suppliers and will include transportation to and from the event, if applicable. All options are based on a minimum number of travelers participating.

Optional Capilano Suspension Bridge Park Excursion

Take a walk on Vancouver's wild side as you stand 230 feet above the waters of the Capilano River on a breath-taking 450-foot-long suspension bridge. This 27-acre park was made famous by its namesake bridge, which was built back in 1889, and has been added onto with even more attractions to let you experience the temperate rainforests of beautiful British Columbia.

Optional beach hike, watersports & picnic

Join us on this optional trip to Mystic Beach, one of the area's most scenic beaches, located along the shores of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The area features a small waterfall that cascades from the sheer cliff above the beach area along with incredible views of the rugged, Pacific Northwest coastline. We reach a suspension bridge that crosses Pete Wolfe Creek, then continue along the trail through forests thick with trees before reaching shore. Visit French Beach with time to relax and enjoy a picnic lunch. Take a cool dip in the ocean, test your stand-up paddle board skills or go kayaking. See if you can spot whales or roaming pods of resident orca offshore, as well as otters, seals and sea lions. French Beach is also a good spot to observe Bald eagles, ospreys and a variety of seabirds. We return to the hotel after lunch.

Optional Sooke Potholes Regional Park hike and swimming, pub dinner

Explore the neighboring areas on your own or sign up for an optional trip to Sooke Potholes Regional Park, located on the banks of the remarkable Sooke River, featuring potholes unlike anything you've seen before. These rare geological formations, a series of deep, smooth rock pools, feature some of the best freshwater swimming around. The pools and potholes are crystal clear and refreshingly clean. We end our optional excursion with a visit to a local pub.

The included meals have been selected to compliment the itinerary and the atmosphere of the region.
